Well, it sure is here!! It was 102 on Saturday, 104 on Sunday and predicted to be at least 101 today. I am fondly remembering the freak snowfall we had last winter.
So, of course, I spent most of Sunday in the studio, next to the air conditioner.
What I worked on was my orphan blocks that I showed a couple of weeks ago.
Then I posted this picture of the quilt design I came up with in EQ7.
And today I have this (on my design wall).
I have sewn three rows together and hope to be finishing the rows today. This should be the center of the quilt but I haven't cut the borders yet. This quilt has gotten a lot bigger than I originally planned so I am not sure what I am going to do. Stay tuned.

Love that quilt you designed. I am still learning my way around EQ7......but I'll get the hang of it eventually. As for the heat, we had temps that exceeded 100 a week or so back (with very high humidity at the same time) so I know how you are feeling with that. The weather is just crazy!
Nice blocks. I have EQ6 but found it incompatible with my Mac. And of course I had used all of my updates.....
The setting you chose for those blocks could not be more perfect, I love it!

I am so glad I am not in the south right now with the heat wave you are all suffering from. Friends from home keep sending me e mails telling me how hot it is - 100+ for days now. I got a message from one that said it was 85 when she woke up! not for me - it was 51 here in Montana :)

LOVE the quilt! Great job! As for heat, I'm in the central valley of Calif and we're used to having had at least a dozen days of over 100 by now but we're experiencing the coolest summer ever! Only 1 day a 103 and the rest have been in the hi 80s low 90s. I'm loving it but the rest of the country's suffering for it.
