Design Wall Monday

Judy, at Patchwork Times challenged us to share, each Monday, what we have on our design wall. Having completed what was on the wall last week, I got a UFO out to see what I could do with it. These are blocks from a swap I was in last summer. The swap was organized by Dot (no blogger) and the embroidered designs were done by Nita of Nita's Place. This picture is my current plan for the blocks.

This picture shows the fabrics I plan to use in the body of the quilt: the red on white for between the blocks and the white on red for the outer border. This plan has some odd setting triangles so I am not sure if I can pull if off: this may be on the wall for quite some time. LOL

It's a most interesting layout than simply a straight set, so it's worth the effort to figure out those setting triangles. After all, you have till Christmas! ;)

I think this is going to be fabulous. I'd start with the center and work my way out. Are you going to put a small sashing between the center blocks? I can't wait to see what you do.

I agree with Judy. Take your time and work from the centre out. You may find that the setting triangles aren't as weird sized as you think.

Love and hugs Gina xxx

What a great Christmas quilt this will make. My design wall is unchanged from last week but I'm hoping to find some times to piece some more Stars and Pinwheel blocks before I leave again on Friday.
