Design Wall 2/21/11

DW 2-21-11

This is my Design Wall for today.  It is the small wall in my quilting room.  On the bottom is Block 2 of Henrietta Whiskers.  Above that are the hearts for Block 1 of Hearts Desire, the new BOM from Esther Aliu.  And above them are the background squares for Hearts Desire.

Block 2

Isn’t this cute?  And so easy to do.  I even was able to machine embroider the sign.  Once again I still have hand embroidery to do but that will have to wait, I am still doing that on the Snowbound blocks.

Block 1

Here is a close up of the hearts.  I do fusible applique so with them I have put fusible inner facing behind them.  There are more parts, some I have started and one I will be working on today.  I have only done one other Esther quilt (12 Days of Christmas) and she is really challenging.

Now, be sure to drop by Judy’s blog to see what all those other quilters are working on.

I'm still plugging away on 2009 blocks so no Henrietta Whiskers for me yet. I was checking out your blog on the Red Snappers too... I'm getting those soon. As in for my birthday next month. I hear they are fantastic and very easy to use. One long armer I'm in touch with said she no longer charges to turn a quilt as it takes no time to do that with the red snappers. Thanks for sharing your blocks today.

I love the new applique block - followed your link and downloaded the pattern.

I guess I need to check out the red snappers more if they are that good.

Love the Henrietta Whiskers block! You were so clever to machine embroider the "free pumpkins" sign.

I love the Heart's Desire. They are really unique hearts.

Those are some weird looking hearts, lol. Can't wait to see them in your finished project.

Beautiful blocks. The hearts are different, looking foward to seeing how they fit into the project.
