Works In Process Wednesday and I have been doing a little work on my LCQAL blocks. I had to! On Monday I posted a picture of my Design Wall. You really should go see what a mess I had up there and then come back here to see what I have up there now.
This is the setting I have decided to use. But there seems to be something wrong up there, can you see what it is?
Here is a closer view of the top, can you see it now?
Well, it seems that in my zeal to get going on this top I confused the measurements for this quilt with those of Snowbound: Snowbound blocks are 10.5” and this top’s blocks are 12.5”. So, those HSTs are 2” too small. And I only made 24 of them, 8 more than I needed. So I packed it in and went for pizza.
Can you see him? That rabbit sat like that for over 5 minuets while I got out of the car and pulled stuff out, too. He was still there when I went into the house.
Tomorrow I hope to be able to figure out how to solve my quilt dilemma. I only have enough of the red fabric for the border so who knows what creative inspiration will come.

I hope you have more of the fabric for your current project, and the half square triangles look like the beginnings of another quilt!...or, I don't suppose there is some way you could add borders to them so that they would fit?
I don't have a solution for you. Good luck. The fabrics you are working with are beautiful!!
Hi! Surfed here from the WOW thumbnails. Isn't it such a blow when a design problem grinds everything to a screeching halt? I walk away, too. But later fresh ideas come along to spur the project back in motion.
The diamonds formed by the "too-small" HST's look good size-wise. What if you just add more of the white around them after sewing the diamond together, to bring those four corners to the right size for the rest of the quilt? I think the diamonds will look very nice floating instead of touching the other blocks with their points.
Hmm. . there are some of the HSTs in the middle, too - can you add more white to the two white edges of those to make the space up? (Does the very center have 3 more 12" blocks?)
This is going to be a very pretty quilt. :D
I was thinking you could add some borders too. The blocks are lovely.
Mr. Bunny was hanging around to see if you had any carrots. ;)

The fabric and project look beautiful. The only advice I can offer is walk away and a good idea will come to you when you least expect it. Failing that, I start some housework and then the ideas rapidly arrive!
Beautiful blocks. I've never seen so many rabbits as I have this year. They are either dumb or just bold because they just sit there when I walk by with my Abby dog.
