This was my weekend to try to catch up on BOM blocks that needed appliqueing.
It is too bad that the gold thread doesn’t show how it shines, it really makes this teapot look fancy.
I am doing the blanket stitching on all the teapots.
This teapot really has dark purple thread even though it looks like black or blue.
I love how the stitching makes it looks so 3-D.
I also started on this teapot but had to stop for dinner and didn’t get back to it.
But I know it is still waiting for me when I get back in there tomorrow morning.
In addition I did the applique on two fish. For these I do a small zig-zag with invisible thread (Superior Monopoly).
I am all caught up on this BOM, and a week and a half before the next one came out.
One more BOM thing. I am now two months behind on the Owl BOM. I got all caught up with the Tired Owl so the other’s had to wait. But now that he is done and hanging on the door I can get back to business.
I will be linking up with Patchwork Times and What a Hoot Quilts.
Have a great week, Gari

Wow! You are doing a great job on your BOMs. I tend to avoid them cause I get so far behind. Your tea pots are looking great. I like the way you featured the flower on your first teapot. Great job.
LOL.....goodness, you are amazing. But isn't it great when you get caught up and can move on to another project, maybe something new....hehehehehehe
The teapots look great. Love the stitching and of course your fish blocks are so cute.
Take care and have a great week.
ooo, Gari - I love the flower teapot! And the fish are so great. I bet the red scrolly bit is a little challenging to do the stitching.
Your batiks are awesome, love your applique work and the fish look great, I haven't tried the invisible thread yet..
I saw the thumbnail at Judy's linky and wondered "what's Gari up to now?". And it's those beautiful fish! Love all your photos, very informative. Now is that Superior Monopoly polyester or nylon? Thanks for sharing.
All your BOM are wonderful. I love how the tea pots look with your blanket stitching. Your fish are darling too. I don't do BOM because I'd always be behind and I have enough UFO's to last two lifetimes as it is. :) You do such beautiful work.
All fun blocks. The fish are sweet. I try to do only one BOM at a time since I always end up behind :)
Love your teapots to bits, just beautiful!!
And those fish, Batik's are just made for this type of thing, wonderful work.
