All That Jazz

It is quilted.

And from here you can’t even see all the work I did quilting it, can you? That’s all right, I can see it close up.

Here is the back. It just barely covered the quilt, had about 1” extra on each side.

Here you can almost see the feathers and straight lines.

Now I need to do the binding. However, I am not sure what to use. Should it be black? Should it be orange? Should it be black and white? The black on the edges of the first picture is only the batting that I hadn’t yet trimmed so it doesn’t count in the decision making. Suggestions?

I would probably do a piped binding, black binding & orange piping it would look fabulous!
I will email you a couple of pics of examples I did on quilts.

I like Roslyn's idea. I was going to suggest an orange binding to frame the quilt.

I was leaning toward orange too.

When I read what the others said, I didn't agree...until I went back and really looked. I do think orange would be a good choice.

the orange would be pretty - but one other idea is one that I have used on some of my quilts and always get great comments is to sew strips of all the colors together that you used in your quilts (or as much as you have)until you have it long enough to use as your binding. That way you have a colorful unique binding and like I say everyone always loves it.

I keep trying to imagine it with black and then with orange -- guess I'm leaning toward orange but I think black would look good, too.
