This somewhat calm picture is not what drove me to get the camera at 6am. Look at what I woke up to:
I had said they would become really good friends and boy have they. I haven’t been able to sleep past 6 for the past 2 weeks. For a retired person, that is really early.
I had thought of going to my mother’s in central FL for Mother’s Day but it wasn’t possible: I did send her this.
I am hoping that with all this solitude I will be able to begin the quilting on my gift quilt: I finally got it put on the frame yesterday. And then this afternoon I have been recruited to video DH’s play: that would be 2 ½ - 3 hours of standing with a video camera. Oh, what we do for the one’s we love. Happy Mother’s Day everyone.

I don't see the postcard.
My Mother's Day is even worse than yours. First, I have sons - they rarely remember "events" and they each live 1000 mi west and 1000 mi east of me. Second, my husband leaves today for 2 weeks at Ft. Leavenworth KS.
I did manage to treat my mother to lunch at a new Italian eatery that we all enjoyed.
I know two creatures who love their Mum!

...just make sure you're willing to give Ponce back at the end of May. He'll definitely have some Abigail withdrawal. Happy Mother's Day!
Those pups seem like good company! LOL. I love your postcard. You are so cute. Happy Mother's Day to you too.
My kids couldn't be with me on Mother's Day this year either. They both checked in by phone and that was good enough for me. Usually my daughter hosts a special Mother's Day Tea Party, where all the guests exchange tea cups. This year she is in the middle of moving house, so she had to put it off.
Love that the dogs are such friends now. The postcard is wonderful...I hope you scanned the photo, though, so you still have a copy of that picture...as it's very precious.
Happy belated Mother's Day!
Kris
